Strengths are the unique blend of talents, knowledge, and skills. Being aware of your strengths can aid you in maximizing your talents. Discovering and developing your talents can ultimately lead you to success in your academic, career and personal life. The original Clifton StrengthsFinder Assessment was created by psychologist, Donald Clifton (1924-2003), with the help of The Gallup Organization. In 2007, a new version of the assessment was released. The assessment will help you identify your top 5 strengths/"themes" from a total of 34 strengths/"themes", which each fall under one of the 4 categories: executing, influencing, relationship building, and strategic thinking.

How Other Chapters Can Implement

Find out if there is a Gallup Coach in your area that you can reach out to as this would be a great asset to have when teaching members about their strengths.
Plan and hold a workshop for members! As an example, we, the Iota Lambda Chapter, did a one day workshop divided into two parts. In the first part, we had members take the assessment and got them familiarized with their strengths. In the second part, we had them participate in activities we designed to help put our members' strengths into use.
If you want to know more about our workshop or to ask any other related questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected]. Please include "Implementing the Gallup Strengths Finder Assessment" as the subject in the email.
