At the 2015 BAP Annual Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Iota Lambda Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at Pace University won its 5th Gold Chapter Award.  The Gold Chapter Award is only given to the top 3% of all BAP chapters nationally.  The Gold Challenge Competition sponsored by KPMG identifies superior chapters that have implemented innovative strategies to enhance the chapter.  The 3 main strategies that Beta Alpha Psi at Pace University has employed are making an administrative shift to better focus on members’ needs, enhancing membership experience, and connecting with alumni.

The Iota Lambda Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has customized its goals and objectives to meet its chapter’s need and strived to enhance the chapter by improving its services to students and to the community.  The chapter has consistently contributed to the university and operated effectively in accordance with the mission of Beta Alpha Psi.

BAP members and candidates incorporated creativity into creating a 5-minute video to demonstrate their accomplishment and leadership on campus as well as how the programs and activities have distinguished them from other superior chapter.

On August 5, 2015, representatives from the Iota Lambda Chapter at Pace University participated in the Annual National Conference of Beta Alpha Psi and by taking initiatives to learn how to operate their chapter effectively,  they would continue to build Iota Lambda Chapter into a more successful chapter.  In addition to winning the Gold Chapter Award, the BAP chapter at Pace University had also received the Inclusive Leadership Award and the VITA Volunteer Hours Award.

Beta Alpha Psi is an international  financial information systems honorary organization for students and professionals with the primary objective of encouraging or giving recognition to academic and professional excellence.  There are more than 300 chapters in colleges and universities since Beta Alpha Psi was established, and the number of members has reached to 300,000.  Iota Lambda Chapter at Pace University has been one of the most active chapter of Beta Alpha Psi.
