BAP strives to make a difference in our community, which is an essential part of our organization's mission. We provide a range of different events where our members and candidates can volunteer. We host community services events in partnership with Big 4 firm professionals where students get a chance to make a difference in the community while also getting to network for career development. We host on-campus community service events at Pace University and have opportunities to attend other events throughout the city.
Past Community Service Events:
St. Jude Walk for Childhood Cancer Awareness
Brooklyn Bridge Park Green Team
Hamilton Madison House Halloween Party with Kids
Spruce Up Fort Greene Park
PB&J Wars with EY and KPMG
Card Making & Gingerbread House Making for Children's Hospitals with PwC
Blanket Making in Support of Project Linus with Deloitte
Spruce Up Fort Greene Park
All BAP participants must do at least 10 hours of Community Service each semester to reach either Candidate or National Member status. We offer community service events weekly, usually on the weekend, when our members tend to have more availability in the busy schedules. You can choose which events to take part in, given that you complete the 10-hour requirement.
To sign up for BAP Community Service events, you must RSVP for them. These RSVP links will be provided in BAP's weekly list serv. If you are not registered for BAP's weekly list serv and would like to be, please contact an e-board member.
BAP Community Service Policy
1. Only students who RSVP for off-campus BAP Community Service events will be allowed to participate. This is because BAP takes planning events very seriously to provide the best experience for its members and the partners we work with.
2. If you sign up for a Community Service event, you must attend it. So before you sign up for any event, please check your schedule.
3. If you do not show up for the event, you will be deducted the hours the event was to provide from your current number of BAP community service hours completed.
